Understanding the principles of natural systems and the communication between living and artificial sytems to develop groundbreaking new technologies – this is the focus of the “Living Machines. 9. International Conference on Biomimetic and Biohybrid Systems”. The conference will bring together researchers from various disciplines such as biomimetics, robotics, neuroscience and materials science in an online edition from 28 to 30 July 2020. The conference is organized by the University of Freiburg, the Cluster of Excellence Living, Adaptive and Energy-autonomous Materials Systems (livMatS) and the Institute for Bioengineering Catalonia/Spain.
The researchers will present their work in lectures, poster sessions and workshops. In addition, leading international scientists from the fields of biomimetics and biohybrid systems will report on new developments in four plenary talks.
All those interested can participate in the conference free of charge. The conference website offers detailed information about the speakers, the lecture program and registration.
