The registration for the 10th Edition of the International Conference on Biomimetics and Biohybrid systems is now open.
As this special edition features the 10 years of Living Machines, plenary speakers will highlight relevant contributions to the fields of biomimetics and biohybrid systems and help to address two main questions: have these fields evolved in the last 10 years, what will be their unique challenges and expected progress in the next 10 years, and how will they impact society?
The Living Machines 2021 program includes:
• 6 Plenary talks. 27 July 2021 (single track)
The plenary talks will highlight relevant contributions to the fields of biomimetics and biohybrid systems in the last 10 years.
• 6 Workshops. 28-30th July 2021 (dual track)
Active researchers in biomimetic and biohybrid systems are invited to participate in full or half-day workshops on Living Machines related themes from 28-30 July 2021.
On 28th July the workshop “Perspective for soft robotics: the field’s past and future” hosted by Falk Tauber, will shine a light on soft robotics within the last decade and future developments. The workshop will be opened by a plenary talk from Prof. Robert Shepherd from Cornell University about “Optoelectronic Nerves and Electrochemical Blood for Robots”.
Falk Tauber also gives an invited talk on plant-inspired actuators during the workshop "Plant functions, hybrid systems, and plant robotics" on 30th July and is part of the organizing committee of the conference.
