Pint of Science describes the international (non-profit) organisation of festivals that bring some of the most brilliant scientists to a local pub to discuss their latest research and findings with the audience.
This year, Céline Calvino, Junior Research Group Leader at livMatS, will share her research. The goal of her talk is to shed light on the reality and the misconceptions about plastic recycling. Calvino will show what really happens to the plastic collected in the recycling bins, how current industrial recycling technologies work, what are their limitations and finally, what are the current efforts pursued by the scientific community towards the end of life of plastics.
